So, a group of my buddies and I decided to head out and huddle up about an up coming sporting event of ours… We needed somewhere to address a variety of eating challenges… Like, the skinny girl, who only eats, like, raw carrot sticks, the glutton-ish girl who was only in the mood for something southern, fried and yummy.. oh, wait, that was me… Anyhoo, we had a variety of needs!! Good Eats had no problem addressing all of our needs. From hearty salads to burgers and from chicken pot pie to chicken fried steaks, Good Eats definitely had a variety of yummy choices.

After seeing the Texas inspired menu, I decided to listen to the angel on my other shoulder, and I had a tasty and healthy meal. I had the “Savory Mesquite-Grilled Chicken Breast” with steamed broccoli and carrots. The chicken had been marinated in a “secret” 7 spice marinade, and grilled to perfection. They pride themselves in their variety of side dishes, to the point where you can actually get a meal of 4 different side dishes. The price range is very reasonable, and I really feel you get what you pay for here. Everyone around the table enjoyed their dish of choice, so all in all it was a good decision for our diverse crowd’s taste buds.

If you are looking for a 5 star meal experience, I would not suggest Good Eats… However, if you are in the mood for some down to earth good Texas food, then Good Eats should definitely be on your radar.
