Okay, who is in the mood for Thai food?   I LOVVVVVVVE Thai food!!  Now the interesting part is the fact that it seems like you can’t really find a 5 star Thai place as far as the atmosphere goes… or at least I haven’t yet…  In saying that, I mean, the ambiance seems to be lacking… maybe it’s just me, but truly, I have never eaten Thai food, and haven’t said, thought, or both “Very interesting décor!”.   I actually think it adds to your experience to feel adventurous!!  (And if you know of an 5 star Thai place in Dallas, EMAIL ME!).

Toy’s does not disappoint… on the ‘ambiance’ or the WONDERFUL food!!  It is located in a strip mall, and is very unassuming.  You walk in, and you look right into the open kitchen.  Toy will probably greet you herself.  Now trust me, when I say, on your first visit, you will probably ask yourself “Where am I again?”, but trust me when I say the food is awesome.  These are some of my personal favorites!!  For starters, you have to try the cute little corn cakes.  They are yummy sweet corn patties flash fried, and served with a cucumber sweet and sour sauce.  They are served 4 to an order, so bring a friend!!  Another yummy starter, is the spring rolls.. yes, also fried… see a trend here?!?!  Anyhoo, their house salad is a great healthy break between your fried fun, and your main course.  It is served with a house peanut Thai dressing, that I just adore!!  And finally for dinner, one of my standards, is the Chicken Padd Thai.  Truly, if you are new to Thai, or you have enjoyed it for many years, you will truly enjoy this sweet and savory dish.  It is served with noodles, chicken, bean sprouts, and all is coated in this wonderful peanut sauce.  They also have take out down to a science, so make sure you grab a to-go menu when you leave!!

Have a great and safe holiday weekend!!

Until the next dish is served,
